  • Specialization in Automation and Controls of new / existing products for major customers from all parts of the world.

  • Manager for projects that build automation lines for product manufacturing, testing, and packaging, amongst others. 

  • Responsible for conceptualizing the automation lines using 6-Axis, 4-Axis, SCARA, and Collaborative Robots for different industries not limited to consumer, automotive, medical and energy.

  • Working collaboratively with technicians to program robots to perform assembly tasks that include but is not limited to: Screwing, glue dispensing, pick and place, and soldering.

  • Actively working on creating designs in CAD softwares for new patent-able products.

  • Define technical reports and contracts for customers and suppliers including but not limited to RFPs, SOWs, Buy-off etc.

  • Actively working in conjunction with engineers from suppliers and customers to recommend new ideas, improve current designs, and/or approve their designs using DFM, DFA etc.

  • Spending approximately 25% of the time traveling, to overlook projects in different regions that include: Asia, South East Asia, Americas and Europe.

  • Led the BAJA SAE team, right from the comceptualized idea to the end product

Porsche Mumbai, India- Intern (Summer 2011)

  • Conducted research on various alternative fuels, with a focus on solid oxide fuel cell

  • Maintained cars in the workshop and specialized in implementing quality testing

  • Involved in designing, modelling and prototyping a split cycle engine (CATIA and Solid Works), which will substitute the commonly used 4-stroke engines

IIT Bombay, India- Research Assistant ( Summer2010 )          

  •  Designed 3-D chassis for robotic arm using CATIA software, trained in AVR controller, programming and PC interfacing

  • Analyzed risk and designed contingency plans by implementing system thinking (Cynefin Framework)

 

Integration of Wind Power in Smart Grids, University of Pennsylvania:

  • Investigated current problems associated with wind power generation (on shore and off shore).

  • Recommended improvement methods using qualitative analysis of cost and benefits (supply chain management) and implementing smart grids with alternate sources of power generation

 

Extended Exergy and Energy Analysis for Biofuel Production, University of Pennsylvania:

  • Conducted a thorough thermodynamic input-output exergy and energy analysis of the conversion of biomass (in this case UCOME and RME) to biodiesel.

  • The extended analysis which included monetary effects, revealed a new representation showing RME having more exergetic efficiency unlike UCOME.

 

Redefining Energy from Waste (EfW), University of Pennsylvania:

  • Examined the effectiveness of EfW plants, investigated problems with introducing aluminum to MSW landfills, conducted proposals for mitigating the dangers associated with aluminum reactions and designed an effective supply chain.

 

Analysis of Biogas Using Leucaena and Manure as Biomass Source:

  • Designed (AutoCAD, CATIA) and fabricated biogas plant, carried out rigorous analyses to show the variation in gas production

  • Publication: "Analysis of biogas using leucaena and manure as biomass source”; ICDRE: International Conference on Desalination and Renewable Energy, Paris, France (WASET, June 2012)
